| The
Writeup: Bonnie Bedelia emerged in films in the late
60s after a successful Broadway career. She wowed audiences
in They Shoot Horses, Don't They? (1969) and Lovers And Other
Strangers (1970) and was pegged as a fresh new talent to watch,
or at least that's how it seemed. But she never ended up cashing
in on that talent, and an almost four year absence from any
films in the mid 70s was a bizarre occurrence. She had a few
well received performances in the 80s, most notably Heart
Like A Wheel (she was nominated for a Golden Globe for the
part) and The Boy Who Could Fly (1986). She hit the big time
in her career in the late 80s by starring as Bruce Willis'
wife in the mega hit action flick Die Hard. Fat Man And Little
Boy, Die Hard 2 and Presumed Innocent followed in the next
to years, capping the most commercially successful period
in her career. Nowadays you can find her on the Lifetime series
The Division playing a tough cop. |
