Writeup: Beverly D'Angelo is most well known for her
roles in the National Lampoon's Vacation films and for her
recent custody spat with Al Pacino over the location of their
children. Beverly garnered much critical attention for her
role in the 1980 film Coal Miner's Daughter, playing Patsy
Cline, and many thought she would go on to become a dramatic
force in Hollywood. She was in the first Vacation movie three
years after, and she's been mired in goofy movies just like
it since, with the occasional quality dramatic role mixed
in (see American History X). Some might say she's a story
of talent wasted, but that would be just silly. Beverly has
been in more than 60 film and television projects since the
late 70's, making her one of the more frequent workers, just
not a revolutionary actress. |
