Writeup: An exotic beauty, Barbara Carrera was born
in Nicaragua in 1951 and was a fashion model before breaking
into acting with Puzzle of a Downfall Child (1970), playing,
what else, a model. She remains best known for playing Bond
girl Fatima Blush in the Sean Connery starrer Never Say Never
Again (1983). However, she has starred in a number of movies
in her career, mostly in decorative roles. Other movies include
The Master Gunfighter (1975), The Island of Dr. Moreau (1977),
Condorman (1981), Lone Wolf McQuade (1983), The Underachievers
(1987), Wicked Stepmother (1989), Point of Impact (1993),
Night of the Archer (1994) and Love Is All There Is (1996).
She continues to work to this day, appearing in the occasional
TV movie and low budget feature films. She had a brief stay
on network TV in the 80s, starring for one year on the Prime
Time soap Dallas, playing Angelica Nero from 85-86. |
