Writeup: A native of Queens, New York, Barbara married
Augusto Gregorini in 1968 and moved with him to Italy. A model
in New York before going to Italy, Barbara quickly became
a fixture in Italian cinema, appearing in numerous Italian
films during her years there. It was in 1975 that Barbara
became an international star. It was that year that she was
cast as Major Anya Amasova in the James Bond film The Spy
Who Loved Me. Like all Bond girls of that era, she shot to
stardom and enjoyed a career as a lovely babe in many feature
films. These include Screamers (1979), The Humanoid (1979),
Jaguar Lives! (1979), Up The Academy (1980), Caveman (1981),
The Unseen (1981), and Give My Regards To Broad Street (1984).
She has not appeared on the big screen since 1986 and one
can only assume she is enjoying her life with her husband,
Ringo Starr, whom she married in 1981. |
