Writeup: Despite the somewhat off beat name (apparently
her parents named her after a semi-precious gem), Azura has
established a normal, even flourishing, career in Hollywood.
She hasn't been around all that long, her first big time role
was the TV movie Alone (1997), but she has managed to amass
some very impressive credits. Her feature films include Edtv
(1999), 28 Days (2000), Town & Country (2001), Bandits (2001),
The Salton Sea (2002), and Red Dragon (2002). She remains
a supporting actress in studio films, her off beat looks probably
make this a necessity, but her performances are always reliable.
In the realm of television she is able to find consistent
work, appearing in the 1999 TV series Zoe, Duncan, Jack &
Jane, which despite it's hype only made it through season
one. She has also guest starred on Chicago Hope, Gideon's
Crossing, John Doe, Smallville, Judging Amy, Buffy The Vampire
Slayer and CSI: Miami. |
