Writeup: Chosen by Empire Magazine as one of the 100
sexiest stars in history (#56), Anouk made her debut in La
Maison sous la mer (1947), but it wouldn't be until many years
later that she would gain international recognition. Federico
Fellini cast her as a jaded socialite in 1960's La Dolce Vita,
a performance that delighted audiences. She also appeared
in Fellini's masterful 8 1/2 in 1983. In 1966
she became an international star with A Man And A Woman, a
performance that earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting
Actress. She also won a BAFTA and a Golden Globe for the role.
It brought her to a new level of international fame, but she
chose to stay mostly in Europe and perform in foreign language
films, eschewing Hollywood stardom. Nevertheless, she remains
a well remembered and well liked performer in the states.

of Paris (1957), The Chasers (1959), The Joker (1960), Lola
(1961), La Fuga (1966), The Appointment (1969), Leap Into
the Void (1979), A Man and a Woman: 20 Years Later (1986)
