Writeup: You don't recognize the name, but I'm sure
you know who Anne Ramsey is. You remember her either as the
horrible Mama Fratelli from The Goonies (1985) or as the horrible
Mrs. Lift from Throw Momma From The Train (1987). Truth is,
Anne was fabulous at parts like these; she had the right look
(somewhat unattractive one might say), and she had quite a
skill for making you hate her character. She was actually
Oscar nominated for her role in Throw Momma From The Train,
and anyone who's seen the film can testify to her skill as
an actress. Those two movies remain her most notable, but
she has appeared in a myriad of feature films and made for
TV movies in her life, including Any Which Way You Can (1980),
The Black Marble (1980), Class Reunion (1982), The Killers
(1984), Say Yes (1986) and Scrooged (1988). |
