Writeup: Anne Parillaud was born in Paris, France
in May of 1960 and resides there to this day, although she
often travels all around the globe to make films. Anne made
her debut in the French picture Un amour de sable (1977) and
appeared in a number of films in the late 70s and early 80s,
all French productions. She toiled for more than ten years
before breaking out big time as Nikita in the international
hit film La Femme Nikita. The film spawned an American film
version, starring Bridget Fonda, and a television show entitled
La Femme Nikita. It was also the role that introduced Anne
to the world, won her a Cesar award (the French Oscar), and
landed her her first American part in 1992's Innocent Blood.
Since then she has made films on both sides of the Atlantic,
including Map of the Human Heart (1993), Frankie Starlight
(1995), Dead Girl (1996), The Man in the Iron Mask (1998),
Shattered Image (1998) and Sex Is Comedy (2002). |
