| The
Writeup: Angela Goethals, born in New York City in
1977, has led two careers; one as a child actress in the late
80s and early 90s, and the other as an adult performer, which
began early in the new millenium and continues. Angela's first
experience on screen came in 1988 when she appeared in two
feature films, the heartwarming Rocket Gibraltar (1988, which
also featured a young Macaulay Culkin), and Heartbreak Hotel
(1988). She would then go on to appear in the feature films
Home Alone (1990, playing Linnie McCallister, one of Kevin's
tormentors), Triple Bogey on a Par Five Hole (1991), and V.I.
Warshawski (1991, the movie adaptation of the popular novels,
a movie in which Angela had a large role). In 1993, at age
16, she landed a starring role in the series Phenom, about
a young tennis pro who struggles with the challenges of growing
up. It was canceled after season 1. After the 1994 cancellation
of the show Angela's child career basically ended and she
attended college, earning a degree from Vassar in 1999 (impressive).
While there she had a small part in Jerry Maguire, memorable
as one of the clients who dumps him. The second phase of her
career began in 2000 when she guest starred on Madigan Men,
a terrible series that was quickly shuffled off the air. Nonetheless,
it signaled Angela's return and she subsequently appeared
in the feature films Storytelling (2001) and Changing Lanes
(2002) as well as starring in the series Do Over (2002), which
was quickly canceled. 2003 brought great potential when she
was cast in the David E. Kelley series The Brotherhood of
Poland, New Hampshire. Sadly, the show was poorly rated and
quickly canceled. |
