Writeup: Angela Cartwright was a child star and essentially
grew up in front of America. Her first big role was as Linda
Williams on the popular TV show Make Room For Daddy. She played
the character from 1957 to 1964. The following year she appeared
in the hugely popular film The Sound Of Music, and was cast
as Penny Robinson in the popular, although somewhat short
lived TV series Lost In Space. By the time Lost In Space was
over she was nearly a full blown adult and had spent most
of her youth in front of the camera. Transitioning to an adult
career is difficult, and Angela didn't have much luck. She
starred on the spinoff series Make Room For Granddaddy, but
it didn't catch on and was off the air in one year. She has
since starred in a few feature films, but her career is effectively
over. |
