Writeup: A former member of Toronto's Second City
comedy troupe, Andrea Martin has developed and impressive
career in Hollywood as a supporting actress while managing
a superb Broadway career that includes Tony Awards. She was
awarded a Tony in 1993 for her performance in My Favorite
Year, and was nominated in 2002 for her performance in Oklahoma.
In addition to her Broadway talents, Andrea is a gifted comic
performer, appearing in countless TV shows over the years
and building a fine feature film resume. Her first taste of
fame really came with SCTV, the famed sketch show featuring
a number of brilliant talents. She also appeared in the two
SCTV shows that aired after the original went off the air.
Other TV shows include Roxie (1987), Camp Candy (1989), The
Carol Burnett Show (1991), The Martin Short Show (1994), Life...
and Stuff (1997), Damon (1998), George and Martha (1999),
Committed (2001) and My Big Fat Greek Life (2003). As you
might have guessed, Andrea Martin was in My Big Fat Greek
Wedding, her biggest feature film success, starring as Aunt
Voula. Other notable feature films include Black Christmas
(1974), Club Paradise (1986), Rude Awakening (1989), Stepping
Out (1991), Boris and Natasha (1992), Wag the Dog (1997),
The Loser (2000), Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2001) and All
