Writeup: In the late 80s and early 90s Ami enjoyed
a fruitful, fabulous career in movies and television. Her
feature film debut came in Can't Buy Me Love (1987), when
she was just 18 years old. That same year, she landed a role
on General Hospital and she would play Melissa McKee for two
years, until 1989. What followed was five fabulous years of
movie making, mostly in teen aimed flicks, some of them better
than others. Her films during this time include She's Out
of Control (1989), Children of the Night (1991), To Die, to
Sleep (1992), Miracle Beach (1992), Street Hunter (1993),
White Wolves: A Cry in the Wild II (1993), Stepmonster (1993),
and Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings (1994). In 1990 Ami secured
her 2nd major TV role, playing Sloan Peterson in the ill fated
TV adaptation of the popular movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
As the late 90s rolled around, Ami's work output slowed as
good work opportunities stopped coming her way. Her most recent
work was in 2003, the film Mr. Id, but before that she hadn't
worked at all since 1998. She was married in August 2002 to
actor Jerry Trimble. |
