Writeup: Amelia Heinle is a stunningly beautiful actress
who has spent most of her career in soap operas, beginning
in 1993 when she joined the cast of Loving, an ABC soap, at
the age of 20. She played Steffi Brewster for two years, right
until the show's end. A spinoff series, The City, continued
where Loving left off, but it wasn't successfula and was pulled
from the air after two years. Amelia had actually left the
year before, meaning after 1996 she had no steady TV job.
And so she segwayed into movies, both of the TV and feature
film variety. Her feature film resume reads like this: At
Sachem Farm (1998), Liar's Poker (1999) and The Limey (1999),
a well received drama that starred Terence Stamp and Peter
Fonda. Her TV movies are less well known, including Quicksilver
Highway (1997, a two part horror style movie), Purgatory (1999),
Sally Hemings: An American Scandal (2000, an interpretation
of the relationship between Thomas Jefferson and his slave
Sally Hemings that aired on CBS). In 2001 Amelia returned
to Daytime television, landing the role of Mia Saunders on
All My Children, a role she currently plays. Her beauty makes
her a lock for soaps as long as she wants to work in them,
and perhaps someday she'll break into big time film work. |
