Writeup: Born in 1971, Amanda enjoyed a profitable
decade in the 80s as a teen actress. She mixed it up between
TV movies, shows, and feature films. It began in 1982 with
a small role as a dancer in Annie. This was followed by a
role on the TV show Boone in 1983. From there her career was
off and running. Her feature film roles include Explorers
(1985), Can't Buy Me Love (1987), The Lawless Land (1988),
Listen To Me (1989), and Windrunner (1995). Can't Buy Me Love,
where she plays the popular high schooler Patrick Dempsey
pays to go out with him, probably remains her most beloved
role. She also had parts in a number of TV movies, including
Best Kept Secrets (1984), And The Children Shall Lead (1985),
Throw Away Wives (1989), Fatal Charm (1990) and Hell Hath
No Fury (1991). Amanda has not worked since 1995 and, last
I heard, is happily married. |
