| The
Writeup: Born in London in 1959, Amanda Pays enjoyed
a successful career as a model at a young age, traveling around
the world and working some of the most famous runways around.
At the age of 22 she decided to drop the modeling, or as she
calls it "clotheshorsing" and jump into acting. She studied
at London's Academy of Live and Recorded Arts and in 1984
starred opposite George Segal in the TV movie The Cold Room.
Her feature film debut came that same year, opposite Rob Lowe
in Oxford Blues (1984). She also had a small role in the massive
1985 mini series A.D., playing Sarah. She has since become
a star of both feature films and television. Some of her best
known projects on TV are the ground breaking experiment Max
Headroom (1985), which later turned into a TV seires (in 1987
Max Headroom: 20 Minutes Into the Future debuted, with Amanda
playing Theora Jones). She has also starred in the TV shows
The Flash (1990) and Thief Takers (1997-98). Her notable feature
film roles include The Kindred (1986), Off Limits (1988) playing
Sister Nicole, Leviathan (1989), Age of Treason (1993), and
Spacejacked (1997). She was married to Corben Bernsen in 1988
and the two have four children together, including twins. |
