| The
Writeup: Alisan Porter is best known as a child actress,
but she recently began a run at an adult career after a ten
year layoff. Her first working experience came on the kids
show Pee Wee's Playhouse where she played Lil' Punkin from
1987-1990. During that time she also appeared in the feature
films Homesick (1988), Parenthood (1989), Stella (1990) and
I Love You to Death (1990). She also showed up on the TV shows
Chicken Soup (1989) and Perfect Strangers (1990). She remains
best known however as the title character from the John Hughes
movie Curly Sue (1991), which also starred Jim Belushi and
was a modest hit. After Curly Sue she seemingly retired from
acting but made a triumphant return in 2001 on the decidedly
adult show Undressed on MTV. The show generally features college
age kids having sex and hooking up in various interweaving
storylines. She has also appeared in the feature film Shrink
Rap (2003), so the comeback appears to be going fairly well.
