| The
Writeup: A veteran of both Broadway and Hollywood,
Aida Turturro made her feature film debut in 1989's True Love
and has since appeared in 40 feature films, as well as three
TV shows. She is not a leading lady type, slightly heavy with
off beat looks, but she is a wonderful character actress,
nailing the Jersey girl type in numerous parts. Other feature
films on her resume include Manhattan Murder Mystery (1993),
Junior (1994), Money Train (1995), Sleepers (1996), Made Men
(1997), Woo (1998), Crossfire (1998), Deep Blue Sea (1999),
Mickey Blue Eyes (1999), Bringing Out the Dead (1999), and
Sidewalks of New York (2001). Despite all her feature film
work, her most well known role remains the flaky Janice Soprano
in the mega popular HBO series The Sopranos. She received
an Emmy nomination in 2001 for the role. |
